Timeless Craftsmanship: Dark Oak & Marble Kitchen in the Green Heart of the Netherlands
Design by justustjebbo

In a serene mid-century modern home nestled in the Green Heart of the Netherlands, we created a kitchen that embraces both heritage and refinement. Defined by artisanal woodworking and enduring materials, this space reflects the rhythm of slow living—honest, beautiful, and built to last.

Dark Oak with Character
The cabinetry is made from dark-stained oak, finished with a natural oil that enhances the wood's deep tones and grain. As time passes, this finish will age gracefully, adding richness and personality. Subtle artisan details in the joinery highlight the handcrafted nature of the work—each piece echoing our belief that the smallest touches speak volumes.

Arabescato Elegance
To complement the warmth of the oak, we introduced Arabescato marble: a striking natural stone with bold veining and a crisp, refined presence. Used thoughtfully, it elevates the space while maintaining a grounded and natural feel. This balance between material strength and visual softness defines the kitchen’s unique character.

Premium Performance with Gaggenau
Precision meets design with integrated Gaggenau appliances, including the cooktop and ovens. Their refined aesthetic and engineering excellence seamlessly blend into the composition—enhancing the kitchen’s performance without disrupting its calm rhythm.

Beyond the Kitchen
This project extended beyond the culinary space. We also crafted matching bathroom furniture, walk-in closets, and smaller bespoke cabinets throughout the home. Each element speaks the same design language, creating a sense of harmony from room to room—tailored precisely to the architecture and lifestyle of the residents.

A Home That Ages Beautifully
Set in the lush landscape of the Green Heart, this kitchen and its companion pieces form a natural extension of their surroundings. Just like the oak used throughout, the home is designed to grow richer with time—becoming more personal, more storied, and even more beautiful.
